Hypertensive Nephropathy: Mechanisms, Diagnosis, and Evolving Treatment Paradigms

Hypertension-mediated kidney injury is examined with attention to its pathological mechanisms, including endothelial dysfunction, renovascular remodeling, and activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. This chapter synthesizes current evidence on blood pressure targets, evolving pharmacological strategies, and the clinical challenge of differentiating primary hypertensive nephrosclerosis from other causes of chronic kidney disease.
