Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Current Science and Emerging Therapeutic Frontiers

This chapter provides an integrative review of recent advances in the neuroscience, genetics, and clinical management of major neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, intellectual disability, and developmental language disorder. It explores the contributions of neuroimaging, connectomics, and polygenic risk modeling to understanding these conditions, and critically appraises the evidence for pharmacological, behavioral, and neuromodulatory therapeutic strategies.
