Endovascular Neurosurgery: Advances in the Treatment of Cerebrovascular Disease

Endovascular approaches have fundamentally altered the management landscape for intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, acute ischemic stroke, and carotid artery disease. This chapter reviews the latest evidence on flow diversion devices, mechanical thrombectomy for large vessel occlusion, endovascular management of dural arteriovenous fistulae, and emerging applications of liquid embolic agents.
